Honorable
judges, ladies and gentlemen:
It’s my pleasure and privilege to stand here and give a speech,
sharing with you the topic in common today: BGRIMM and I.
BGRIMM used to be an unfamiliar word to me more than one year
ago, when I first heard about it in my interview by the vice president
Zhang Licheng. From then on, this word was impressed in my mind
and BGRIMM has become part of my life since I was soon informed
to be a member of this family. Hence, BGRIMM became my first opportunity
after stepping out of the ivory tower, and it turned out that
I have made a sound choice without any regret. To be employed
in BGRIMM till today, my thoughts are moving from “a student”
thinking to “an office clerk” thinking. I am always pleased
to be among the best and the brightest in an atmosphere of learning.
BGRIMM is the best incubator that exists during my growing-up.
She teaches me a lot: she teaches me how to apply what I have
learned in school to practice in my current work, how to deal
with others, how to be an upright person and how to survive independently
out of the protection of my parents as well.
Up to now, you may ask me: BGRIMM has taught and given
you so much, what have you done for her in return? Yes, I always
ask myself what I can do for BGRIMM and what I have done for
her. This question puzzles me most all the time. In my point
of view, the most important thing I can do for BGRIMM presently
is to make more profits, develop more potential customers and
expend our international market employed as a salesman in DITM
that is fully called Department of International Trading and
Marketing. It sounds easily to do such a job and it comes to
be the essential contents of my work. But, do you know, how
difficult it is to run a business? Especially, the two parties
of international trade have the disadvantageous conditions to
learn each other well mostly brought by the long distance and
cultural differences which does not exits in domestic trade
at all. So, transactions between these two parties really need
long time and enough patience to accelerate the business going
along in a steady way.
Although
many products of BGRIMM are competitive in the world market,
I have to say objectively, in the condition of buyer’s market
in the whole world nowadays, we just have no absolute preponderance
at all. As for me, I am mainly in charge of the magnetic ring
overseas markets. Firstly, I have to ensure the holding of the
now available customers. For this, I must provide our products
in good quality, reasonable price and faultless service in order
that I can get more and more purchase orders from my clients.
In the meanwhile, I must make every effort to explore potential
customers, and strive to promote this potential arising to be
going. My goal is to increase my aggregate sales from 2 million
dollars a year to 4.5 million dollars by the end of 2005. And
a few years later, BGRIMM magnetic ring will shake every corner
in the world!
Before I conclude, I also wish to say a few words to all the
people present here. Like all the young people of my age working
or studying in BGRIMM, I want to see BGRIMM get prosperous and
enjoy good reputation in the heated competition and international
community. It seems to us that mere enthusiasm is far from enough.
It is vitally important that we young people do more serious
thinking and broaden our mind and vision to the changing environment.
For us young people, there might be very easy answers to what
we can do for BGRIMM, but to take them on and give them in action
everyday is the first step to be prepared to devote to BGRIMM.
And this is also one of the thoughts that came to my mind while
preparing this contest. Finally, I’d like to finish my speech
in the same expression as I have stated in the welcome conference
for the newcomers. Today, I am proud of being a member of BGRIMM.
And I believe, BGRIMM will glory in employing me because of
my unremitting efforts and the achievement tomorrow. Thank you!

Good morning, everyone,
The weather of those days is always little cold, and the sky doesn’t
seem blue in my imagination. But Tiananmen is still magnificent.
The traffic in Changan avenue flows every minute. And the leaves
in Xiangshan Mountain turn red in due time. Because time is the
fairest .It can write down everything, stating the stories of
yours, mine and his, and clocks the history of BGRIMM.
More than 3000 years ago, our smart ancestor had discovered the
physical phenomenon that the magnets can attract ferrites and
themselves each other.
More than 2000 years ago, in the period of Zhan Guo, the people
applied the nature magnets to invent the compass, which shows
the new history.
47 years ago, with the development of New China, BGRIMM was founded,
and became one of the earliest mining research institutes.
45 years ago, BGRIMM integrated technology into production, and
began to produce the magnetic materials.
24 years ago, as the wind of Open Reformation, BGRIMM becomes,
more and more, an active and important player in the hard ferrite
magnets industry.
3 years ago, as one part of BGRIMM, the Magnetic Material Research
Institute became a limited company, named BGRIMM Magnetic Material
and Technology Company, which makes preparations for the stock
market.
2 years ago, after China entered WTO, BGRIMM met the new developing
space and grasped the new opportunities.
Currently, BGRIMM produces more than 60000 tons magnetic products
annually. She had become one of the biggest suppliers of hard
ferrite materials both in China and in the world.
Today, it’s my honor to stand here and share my stories with all
of you. Because I’m a man from BGRIMM.
In July of this year, I entered BGRIMM after I graduated from
the university. When BGRIMM is in my first sight, I feel a little
disappointed because she’s out of my imagination. She has not
only modern office-building, but also the advanced working environments,
which seems not to match this modern city. Entering the company,
I learn that you can’t judge a book by its cover. I know the factory
just represents a period of history of the magnetic materials.
The company is one of the earliest institutes to research and
produce permanent magnetic ferrite. Over 30 years, The company
has developed five categories and over 30 kinds of products to
supply the market both at home and abroad. Now, It has become
a worldwide renowned enterprise in the magnetic material field.
My work is mainly doing export. Owing to my major, I’m not very
familiar with the magnetic materials. So my leaders and colleagues
give me lots of help in my work and life, which makes me feel
warm and grateful.
BGRIMM also takes care of our newcomer’s life. She arranged the
education to let’s get more awareness of the BGRIMM. Additionally,
she showed us to the Great Wall to enjoy the beautiful scene.
In the middle-noon night, she organized wonderful performances.
All of this makes our spare time colorful.
By this time, I have been in BGRIMM for morn than 5 months. I
know I have many things to learn and I’ll meet much difficulty
in my work. But I have confidence to overcome it because I’m an
eternal optimist. A friend of mine once told me “ you could be
found in a raging torrent, in a canoe upside-down, lose your paddle,
and still say we are going to prevail.” I myself feel sure, because
anything they could do I could do it better.
Now, let’s wish the future of BGRIMM will be better.

LEADS ME TO SUCCESS

Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentleman!
I am very glad to have this opportunity to share my view with
you. My topic is “BGRIMM leads me to success ”.
I was very lucky to become a member of BGRIMM in April 1998. During
the first five years, I worked in Espring and I entered the Department
of Foreign Affairs this year. I like my job more and more. I like
BGRIMM more and more. BGRIMM is not only a school for me, but
also a teacher leading me to success.
Firstly, BGRIMM gives me a good working environment. Entering
a room full of sunshine every morning. Blooming flowers and green
grasses outside. After I open my computer, check messages from
home and abroad and type some letters, the whole world appears.
Working in such a good environment and being together with friendly
and skillful colleagues I am filled with confidence and strength.
Secondly, the fast-developing BGRIMM gives me many opportunities.
BGRIMM has been successfully shifted from a research institute
to a large, state-level technological corporation authorized by
the central government. My work is concerned with research, human
resource and project management and I took part in the task of
training of quality control, incentive system and management mode
and had entered the system reform projects of “Espring”, helped
to host the International Mineral Processing Conference 2008 and
cooperated with “Sino-gold” company. Through all of these, I gained
knowledge, experience and became more mature.
Thirdly, I was deeply inspired by many excellent colleagues working
in BGRIMM. Here I’d like to mention two people. One is Ms. Yang
Yueping who is the secretary of party in Espring. She treats us
like an elder sister. Whenever I have difficulties, her name comes
into my mind. Each time she helps me with patience and carefulness.
Once, a worker was hurt she took him to the hospital immediately
and used her own money to cure him. Another is Prof. Ji Jun working
in the Sub-institute of Mineral Processing. We worked together
to carry out the cooperation project with Sino-gold. She has high
academic level. But what impressed me most is her devotion spirit.
During the pilot plant test in branch 4, she worked nearly 15
hours per day. Although she is over 50 years old, she worked all
day and all night. At the same time, her father was suffering
from cancer but she had no time to take care of him. Finally the
test was smoothly finished and highly praised by foreign clients.
They taught me with their own deeds what was BGRIMM SPIRIT - unity,
practice, creative and devotion.
On the other hand, BGRIMM is a large and integrated R&D, engineering
design and industrial production corporation. It is developing
steadily and fast. Furthermore, BGRIMM has established a 10-year
development layout. A goal ? to build a large scale science and
technology enterprise with high reputation and strong power. A
detailed actualizing scheme was determined. From this layout,
we could find our target. It also incites us to overcome difficulties
with confidence and contribute our efforts more enthusiastically
to the development of BGRIMM. A promising future is shining on
the way ahead.
Above all, I am proud of as staff of BGRIMM. I will work hard
to make more contribution to BGRIMM. “Follow the river and you’ll
get the sea.” I will realize my own success through BGRIMM’s success.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
Good morning!
It’s a pleasure to address here at the very end of this exciting
2003-year. I am Changwei from the Permanent Magnets. Six months
ago, I was honored to be a member of BGRIMM. The days I have ever
spent here it felt like coming home. The diligent comrades are
always amicable and warm-hearted. And the respected leaders are
so patient to give me the detailed advises on both work and ordinary
life. Our department are so well operated that it runs smooth
without me, however I will try my best to make it better with
me.
And the reason why I am here is to share with you some of my experiences
and thoughts these days. About a month after I took part in BGRIMM,
one morning while I was practicing in the workshop, a brick fell
down from the crossbeam and beat against my head right here. Well,
it felt little pain at first, however I instinctively covered
my head with my hands, and then the blood run out immediately.
And my eyes were blurry sooner. It is just the same old story
of not being grateful for what we have until the moment we may
lose it is coming. And I am afraid that I would never forget the
way I was sent to the hospital. The 20 minutes felt just like
the former 20 years. Dozens of pictures flashed into my mind.
It is not the girl I’ve ever loved so much. It is not the dream
of being a successful salesman. But it is really some scenes I’ve
ever spent with my parents long long ago. It’s really the faded
dreams.
Most of us, however, take life for granted. We know that one day
we must die, but usually we picture that day as far in the future.
When we are in pretty health, death is all but unimaginable. We
seldom think of it. The days stretch out in an endless vista.
So we go about our pretty tasks, hardly aware of our listless
attitude toward life.
It may be an excellent rule to live each day as if we should die
tomorrow. Such an attitude would emphasize sharply the values
of life. I am grateful while I can walk in the breeze. Look, any
moment is the unique one for each of you and me. So keep our eyes
sharply and try to be clearly aware of the highway which our life
was going on.
For me, I just want to live while I am alive. And now, I phoned
my parents twice a week. And I am very glad to complete the work
which I was supposed to do. And I am also a wayward man, I would
try my best to be the most excellent one, even it’s the final
judge day.
As a little boy, my dream was to be a cool police. And these years
while I’m in the college I was dreaming about to be a splendid
salesman someday. Those puerile dreams faded as time went by.
Now I worked in the R&D department in the Permanent Magnets.
I realized that what’s more important is not what you are doing
now, but the way in which you do.
My friend, to be honest, the world will little know what we do
and what we say here, but there are still a few people who take
it more valuable, they are your parents, your lovers and yourself.
We’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got. Cause it doesn’t make
difference if we make it or not when we’ve tried our best.
Unfortunately, I was badly hurt at the beginning of my career,
fortunately, with its help, I break through the fog of my life.
This has been my life these days. It’s really a pleasure to share
the experiences above with you. In short I’ve found it worth living
in BGRIMM, and would gladly choose to have all of this again if
the chance were offered to me.

Realize the Dream, Create Future

Good morning! I am very glad to be here with
all of you today.
Please look at the picture in my hand. It is that our astro-hero
Yang Liwei was waving out of the module after he finished the
space flight and returned to the earth smoothly. Whenever I see
the picture, I feel very excited. On the one hand I am proud of
our hero and take pride in our nation, Chinese nation realized
the millennial dream. On the other, I admire our aerospace personnel
for their persistence and success. The most important is that
it has strengthened my confidence that I will realize my own dream.
Of course, my dream is not to travel in space like Yang Liwei
did. As a saleswoman in Import & Export Department of Tieling
Flotation Reagents Factory, my dream is to become an elite engaged
in foreign trade. I hope to raise the international population
of my factory, publicize and maintain its good corporate image
with my excellent work. I also hope to make my contribution for
the take-off of my factory and the revitalization of the northeast
old industrial base.
Though barriers may sometimes stand on the way of our dreams,
remember that our destiny is hiding behind them. To realize our
dreams, we must have the spirit of hard struggle. All of us are
very familiar with Deng Yaping, who is praised as the myth in
the table tennis circles. She is too short, which is a disadvantage
to play table tennis, but she has overcome it and realized her
dream of “World Champion” and totally got 18 world champions.
I remember a match that Deng Yaping turned defeat into victory
in case of trailing by 9 points. As she was asked about the idea
when she was tagging behind, Deng answered simply, “ I must win!
I must try my utmost! I can’t give up!” Just think ? If she has
not struggled hard and never given up, would Deng Yaping become
world champion? Would she realize her dream? The answer is certainly:
NO!
The spirit of hard struggle gives us the power to pursue our dreams,
but there is a long way between the dream and the reality. Only
we work rigorously and practically can we step closer to the dream
and realize it at last. After our factory was incorporated into
BGRIMM, I deeply feel their rigorous and practical style of work,
when I contact the staff of it. I deem it an honor to become a
member of BGRIMM. In my work, I must keep up the style and enrich
my mind with knowledge, accumulate my experience and improve my
professional skill.
I believe, through working rigorously and practically, through
struggling hard, I can surely realize my dream.
And I hope everyone here can realize your own dream. Let’s create
our wide and beautiful futures.
